Electric services will be connected by Fayette Electric only after the
wiring of the meter loop has been inspected and approved by Fayette Electric's
personnel. Upon making
an application, the applicant (prospective member) covenants that the location
will be wired in accordance with the policies of Fayette Electric Cooperative,
the National Electrical Code, the National Electrical Safety Code and all
applicable government requirements.
The meter shall be located on the outside of the structure,
not inside of the structure.
Member agrees that if, upon inspection of the wiring of the
meter loop by Fayette Electric's personnel, such wiring is not approved, the owner (or contractor) will
make all necessary changes to the wiring to make it conform. The owner (or
contractor) agrees that Fayette Electric will be notified promptly when such changes have
been made.
Fayette Electric may decline service to any member if the
installation or equipment is known to be hazardous or of such character that
satisfactory service cannot be given.
Fayette Electric accepts no responsibility and assumes no
liability for the adequacy of the member's installation or for damage and/or
injury as a result of inadequate apparatus or equipment, incorrect wiring,
faulty material or workmanship, or any other deficiencies or defects in the
wiring, and/or equipment on the member's premises.
